"Contents May Unsettle comes in at 357 pages of some of the most stylistically diverse and satisfyingly good single-author collections that I have had the pleasure of reading. David Court has what could be best described as a gift for storytelling, you know what I mean, their prose is instantly relatable, easy to get into, yet bloody challenging to get out of, you will find yourself constantly just saying one more story before I put the book down." - Ginger Nuts Of Horror

"There’s something for all tastes here, so I highly recommend grabbing a copy, popping a few Tums or chugging a bottle of Pepto Bismol, and prepare your brains and your belly for a thoroughly unsettling time, as well as some genuine giggles." - Kendall Reviews

"Be prepared to drift into the world of David Court and all of the horrors he has to offer." - Rebbie Reviews

About
about david

David Court is a writer who resides in Coventry, UK, with his patient wife Tara and three less patient cats. When not reading, blogging, drinking real ale, being immune to explosions, writing software for a living, or practising his poorly developed telekinetic skills, he can be found writing fiction. David has had several short stories printed in various anthologies, including Fear’s Accomplice, Sparks, Visions from the Void, Weird Ales and Hydrophobia. He has released four collections of short stories – The Shadow Cast by the World, Forever and Ever, Armageddon, Scenes of Mild Peril and Contents May Unsettle.

He can sometimes be spotted in the wild writing articles for Ginger Nuts of Horror.

David's wife once asked him if he'd write about how great she was. David replied that he would, because he specialized in short fiction. Despite that, they are still married.

"...Court has proven himself to be a writer with an active imagination and a refusal to be pigeon-holed into one particular genre or format. As a result, it's a very fascinating and enjoyable read."
